We’ve been attending a lot of events over the past year within the web development and design communities. We’ve seen some amazing speakers, been introduced to some very exciting young talent and got our hands dirty with some great new services and apps. We thought it was time to celebrate the past year and give something back to you guys…
So, on the 25th of May 2011, Ubelly are going to host the inaugural web development and design awards, ‘The Critters’, which will celebrate the last year of web design and development. We’ve got an amazing list of judges, from places such as Mozilla, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla!, 8-Faces, You Know Who, Tweetdeck and The Next Web, as well as our own Martin Beeby, who have plotted and planned to come up with a shortlist in 9 different categories.
The final decision on who wins the coveted Critter rests with the attendees on the night, who will be given access to a mobile voting system to cast their vote. The judges are currently working on creating the shortlist of nominations, which we will be posted on the blog when all done and dusted.
The event is invite only at this stage, but we want a bunch of readers to come along too! So we have 10 pairs of invites for you and a friend to give away over the next few weeks. Make sure you keep an eye on the blog and our Twitter feed to find out how to bag yourself one.
Stay tuned!
